More wrist warmers and shoppe thoughts

Cozy wristwarmers (and a matching loop scarf) for my friends. Mum's friend already ordered a couple of these, and I've been hoarding more and more fabrics for future combinations.

I still have problems deciding whether I would feel more comfortable with Etsy or DaWanda to open a little shop. DaWanda is still the first choice for handmade things around here, but I haven't warmed up to its layout yet.

What's your first choice when looking for handmade treasures?

  1. I go to Etsy (and use it) much easier, but I notice it's a huge community and it's not always easy to stick your head out. I'm not always very "active" there though. I browse and sell, more than that hardly happens. I know a lot of buyers and sellers spend time on the forums.

I'm not really familiar with DaWanda, but it's probably because DaWanda isn't very famous here.

The fabrics you used are so pretty. The cowl is amazing!

    1. Hello dear Eva, and thank you for your kind words!

I've heard about the rather strong competition on Etsy as well, since it's already so well known and growing all the time. One of my worries was that higher shipping costs might put potential buyers off, as there aren't really that many Germans finding their way to Etsy yet. Oh decisions, decisions... but thank you for your thoughts on this!

  5. Hi Mina,

I just came across your blog via Studio Meez and wanted to let you know how much I love it!

I don't have any knowledge of DaWanda, but I am familiar with Etsy and find it very user friendly. And I think if people are interested in your products, they are generally happy to pay the postage.

    Hope that helps!

    Good luck!

    1. Your words were very reassuring regarding my final decision to go with Etsy. The shop is already launched, but I still need some time to get it all up and running.

I'm glad you found me, welcome to my blog!
